HO1A8504widgetLisa Baker composes piano and instrumental music that can be described as inspiring, calming and passionate new age music. Her style has been compared to Lorie Line, Jim Brickman and George Winston.

Lisa Baker has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Bachelor’s degree in Music with an emphasis in Organ Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and has been serving as Organist and Accompanist at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN since 2004.

Lisa teamed up with her church’s Music Director and Pastor to create a new liturgy in 2006 which has been used during worship ever since. In 2008, Lisa teamed up with 2 other talented composers in the Minneapolis area to release a sampler CD of their individual compositions titled “Trinitus.” (Learn more at their CDBaby page.) This Trinitus CD contains 15 compositions total including 5 written by Lisa.

In 2013, Lisa raised over $2800 on Kickstarter.com to fund the release of her first CD of her piano compositions “Believing is Seeing.” Her CD is now available for purchase or download on cdbaby.com.

In addition to promoting her CD, currently Lisa is working on various projects including small ensemble compositions, recording short piano compositions for commercial use, and collaborations with other musicians.

She also created and manages the website www.twincitiesfrugalmom.com. Lisa lives in the Twin Cities area with her husband and 2 young kids.
